A 1960s French coffee table signed by ceramic artist Jean D'asti. During the Mid 20th Century, Jean D'asti operated his workshop in Vallauris, a picturesque seaside village in the South of France renowned for its pottery. Sitting low to the ground, this coffee table has a rectangular solid wood frame and fascinating enameled ceramic inlaid top. The hand-painted tiles, in soft ochre, dark brown, and tan hues, feature geometric patterns that create a striking visual composition. Artist signature present on surface. Sourced in France, 1960s.
Condition: Good overall vintage condition. Minor scratches along the wood frame that align with age and use. Artist signature and original maker’s mark sticker present on surface.
