New English-Made Wood Hogan Sheraton Style Satinwood Inlay Tray Table in Stock
Located in North Salem, NY
This rich and regal Wood & Hogan tray table was inspired by an 18th century original tray in the personal collection of a prominent internationally known British antique dealer. The Norfolk tray table is unique in its tremendously intricate design. The strikingly beautiful central oval of rare, exotic Thuya wood is accentuated by twenty-eight radials of handsome Fruitwood. Each radial is artistically shaded by dipping one edge into hot sand which creates an illusion of motion and third dimension. Surrounding these radials are inlays of green stained, demi-lunes of Sycamore. Two borders of delicately figured Satinwood are precisely edged with inlays of Kingwood and Rosewood accentuated by Boxwood and Ebony lines. The scalloped gallery is meticulously veneered on both sides with elegant Satinwood. The handles, copied faithfully from the original, are made using the painstaking "lost wax" method. The oval shape table...

Georgian Mahogany Oval Butlers Tray on Stand
Located in Bedfordshire, GB
A very good quality late 18th century, Georgian period, mahogany oval butlers tray of Panelled design, retaining original brass hinges to folding sides with pierced carrying handles, raised on later square leg mahogany stand. During the 18th and 19th centuries a coffee table was not what we regard as a coffee table in the 21st century. Coffee tables back then were always full height, effectively side tables. The modern, low, coffee table is really something which began to be seen during the early 20th century onwards. Based on the above there is a variety of different methods to incorporate a coffee table into an interior for people who wish to furnish their properties with genuine antique furniture, whilst still allowing for the practicalities and function which is required in modern times. Therefore as is now normal with by far the majority of these butlers trays which we see, due to the fact they make absolutely perfect coffee tables, this has been removed from its original, tall, folding stand at some point and fitted onto a lower, more practical and sturdy stand constructed from old antique wood. It’s worth noting that generally this means an old broken table...

Antique Eagle Mosaic table coffee
Located in NEUILLY-SUR-SEINE, FR
Antique Eagle...

Scagliola Policromia coffee table from 1731 with the signature of the original Italian origin from Venice. The work is signed by the artist Giglielmo Blaeuni. At the center of the polychrome table we find an astrolabe. The astrolabe is an instrument that calculated the height of the sun but also had a dual purpose that of solving problems of spherical astronomy. On the sides of the astrolabe there are two cobalt blue circles containing other symbolic animals. To protect the work, the table is protected by glass. Scagliola is a type of fine plaster...
