About the Item

A superb Mid-Century Modern square coffee table designed by the legendary Danish duo Preben Fabricius and Jørgen Kastholm for Bo-Ex, circa 1960. This piece exemplifies the "Industrial Modernism" for which the pair is famous, blending raw natural materials with precision-engineered steel. The table features a thick, honed black slate tabletop inset within a solid teak (or wenge) perimeter frame. The top rests elegantly on an architectural X-shaped base made of heavy-gauge matte or polished chrome-plated steel. The underside retains original handwritten inventory/model markings (9418 / 28932), characteristic of early high-end Danish production.
