About the Item

Rare coffee table from the Qing period, crafted in hardwood and preserved in its original lacquer finish. The tabletop is finished in red lacquer and displays a beautiful, naturally aged patina, enhanced by a clear protective surface finish. The base features a continuous apron, giving the table a light and elegant appearance. The apron and legs are richly decorated in black, pale yellow, and red lacquer, with finely carved detailing in the form of foliate motifs and other ornamental elements. A unique table originating from Shanxi Province, early Qing period, circa 1800–1820.
