About the Item
Sari coffee table by Torbjorn Afdal for Bruksbo, 1960's design in jacaranda. A clever and very nice device allows the table to be extended from 135 to 185 cm with a center part in black formica which goes from underneath to the top. This also brings an interesting and original aesthetic touch. Torbjørn Afdal is one of the leading Norwegian designers of the 1950-60 period.

Torbjørn Afdal
Torbjørn Afdal was one of the leading designers at Bruksbo Tegnekontor and in Scandinavia. Afdal became more well known when his furniture was bought by US first lady Jacqueline Kennedy and by the Japanese Emperor. In later years, he was granted the commission to design the parliamentary and chairs and tables to the courthouse in Oslo.
