About the Item
This is a table with beautiful vintage, sturdy brass bamboo style table base with wonderful patina and X shaped apron.
It was recently fitted with a table top made by Gracie artists in their New York studio. The top was made to fit, and is a vibrant green cashew lacquer, crackled intentianally to mimic the effects of age. Cashew lacquer is known for its beauty and durability, and has been used by gracie for decades for making custom furniture. This table was made about five years ago.
Gracie was established in 1898 by James Gracie, and is a sixth generation family owned business, known for antiques, handmade furniture and handpainted wallpaper. The Gracie family published their first book, the Art Of Gracie, by Rizzoli.
