About the Item
Place this elegant antique console in an entry or hallway. Crafted in France, circa 1880, and built of mahogany wood, the console stands on scrolled front legs ending in paw feet, with pilaster legs in the rear, over a stretcher platform bottom shelf. The table features a large drawer across the front, and the surface is dressed with a variegated green marble top. The long console is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, and adorns a rich French polish patinated finish. Marking in the back: S (shield).
