This is an exquisite early 19th century French Louis XVI console. The variegated marble top is situated over a lovely pierced frieze consisting of a row of concentric circles above two prominent swags. The console is supported by two legs, curved at the top and becoming straight and tapered, as both are connected by a gently curved stretcher.
