20th century marble-top console table with cast stone pedestals in the forms of winged lions/griffins. The mythological winged lion symbolizes St. Mark the Evangelist, the patron saint of the Republic of Venice. The design is reminiscent of the famed Lion of Venice sculpture.
The table is topped with a thin marble slab that has been carefully repaired and reinforced with a porcelain base for durability and stability, showcasing a green onyx-colored side. Please refer to the images for the marble top repair.
