About the Item
This Antique French hand-carved console revealing French expertise, the sculptural work takes up the Gothic ecclesiastical architectural codes.
When this piece was recovered, it was in the entrance hall of a very old manor, but this console table was originally in the property's chapel.
We assume it was part of a much larger architectural ensemble with extensions on either side. Its proportions are generous and allow for a beautiful display. The whole piece is made of oak, two dovetailed drawers, and their original handles.
This is a unique piece that we are delighted to offer you. Note that, having been installed in a living room, the rear legs have been slightly filed to accommodate the baseboards, but once installed along the wall, this detail is neither distracting nor particularly visible.
