About the Item
A large and very impressive antique Victorian carved oak console table. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1840-1860 period.
It is of extremely fine quality, with a beautiful design. The frieze is wonderfully carved with a Greek key design, the front legs have a gorgeous scrolled shape, with acanthus leaf carving on the front edges.
We have had this stripped and re-polished, the condition is superb for its age. The oak has acquired a beautiful, mellow colour tone and has a wonderful patina.
