About the Item

A very smart late 18th Century giltwood console/pier table, with its original rare Breccia marble top with pinched moulded edge. The base elegantly carved with rosettes to the frieze and interlaced centred with a basket of flowers, C scrolls corners and guilloche carving below. Raised on tall cabriole legs with pronounced foliate carving and scroll feet, joined by a cross stretcher and foliate basket to the centre. Of excellent condition and design. Circa 1780. H: 90 cm (35 7/16") W: 79.5 cm (31 5/16") D: 41 cm (16 1/8")
