About the Item

A lovely French Country Louis XIII style trestle table in a beautifully bleached wood finish, dating to the mid 20th century and sourced in Provence, France. The table features a rectangular top in a soft blond tone that highlights the natural movement of the grain and the gentle wear from age and use. Designed with a practical drop-leaf extension, the top folds out to create a longer surface when needed and tucks back in for a smaller footprint, making it a great option for flexible dining or entertaining in tighter spaces. The base showcases sculptural baluster-form legs on stepped plinth feet joined by a central stretcher, echoing classic Louis XIII lines within a relaxed Country aesthetic. Our in-house restoration team has structurally restored the table for stability and daily use while preserving its original bleached finish and characterful patina. A versatile piece that works beautifully as a dining or breakfast table, or as a console or serving table in a kitchen, living room, or entryway. - Origin: Provence, France - Period: Mid 20th Century - Materials: Oak, Maple, Bleached finish. - Dimensions: Closed: W 65" x D 15.5" x H 31"; Open: W 65" x D 31.25" x H 29.75" ; Apron clearance 24"/ clearance under the leaves 28.25" - Condition: Structurally restored by our in-house team, the table is sturdy and ready for daily use, retaining its original bleached finish and gentle wear consistent with age.
