About the Item

Early 19th Century Swedish Painted Pine Farm Table Console Early 19th-century Swedish pine farm table or console retaining layers of historic paint. The top shows remnants of an old painted surface in shades of taupe with black revealed beneath, along with traces of brick-red paint visible across the surface. The single fluted drawer also reveals underlying black paint and opens with a brass pull. The tabletop displays extensive signs of long use, including cracks, stains, plank separation, and surface wear that reflect its utilitarian farm origins. The base maintains old painted surfaces with visible crackling, adding texture and depth. Tapered legs support the long, slender form of the table and show additional wear and nicks. Minor separation is present in the drawer bottom, typical for early pine construction. Restored, strong, and stable, this table is ready for use and offers an authentic example of early Swedish country furniture with layered surface history and honest wear.
