About the Item

Crafted in England during the 1880s this rectangular side table is topped with a beautiful piece of soapstone over a solid walnut base. The unique stone has a “sponge painted” artistic quality with random patches of mauve over pale pink, smooth to the touch. A wonderfully patinated apron is free of any drawers (to orient in any direction) and connects to square, slightly tapered legs by visible peg joinery. Level and sturdy enough to withstand continued everyday use, it works perfectly in any space for a multitude of uses. Make sure to check out the detailed images to get a closer look.
