About the Item

Refined and sumptuous pair of finely carved maple console tables. The console tables feature a crescent shape, with straight and truncated pyramid legs. Their elegance is enhanced by the oil-painted decorations directly on the wood, both on the top and underneath, depicting floral motifs with garlands and intertwining, as well as two classical landscapes painted within two panels on the top. Their shape allows them to be joined to create a round coffee table, as the height is ideal for this function. These two console tables exude great style and refinement, capable of furnishing any room with a touch of class and antiquity. Typical English craftsmanship from the first half of the 19th century.
