About the Item
A stunning and high quality French 18th century Louis XVI period Ormolu, Mahogany, and Rouge Royale marble console. This beautiful three drawer console is raised by four circular tapered legs with Ormolu topie shaped feet and mottled Ormolu top caps. Connecting each leg is a Mahogany tier with a raised gallery. Above each leg are rectangular panels with Ormolu beaded edges. Above the straight apron is a central recessed rectangular drawer with beaded edges and a round central Ormolu escutcheon. The two drawers on each side are designed in the same fashion with beaded edges and a circular Ormolu pulls. The Rouge Royale marble top follows the lines of the console and finished with a smooth edge.
