About the Item

Beautiful chess table on the top and card games when opened, its half-moon shape made of flamed walnut veneer from around 1940-1950 with legs decorated with bronze ornamentation. A very attractive and well made piece, done in Regency style, however it is late Victorian. It has a small front drawer with a brass handle, the legs are beautifully turned at the top and exquisitely sculpted at the bottom. The table opens to reveal a cloth card playing surface. We have cleaned, waxed and polished it from top to bottom, there will be some patina due to honest time and genuine use. Small accomplished signs of honest use and genuine age. Dimensions Height: 72.5cm, Width: 64cm, Depth: 40cm folded, unfolded 80cm. Please note that all measurements are taken at the widest point. Please note that original and vintage items will always have a natural patina in the form of wear.
