About the Item
A one-off re-edition by La Maison London, this French Louis XVI–style demi-lune console is finely hand-carved in the classical tradition. The pierced guilloche frieze is accented with a stylised ribbon-tie motif at the front, while the fluted tapering legs are enriched with acanthus leaf capitals and rosette details.
The X-stretcher is carved with a neoclassical standing-wave border and crowned at the centre with an acanthus plume finial — a sculptural accent that anchors the design with quiet grandeur.
The hand-gilded finish has been carefully patinated to evoke the warmth and lustre of naturally aged antique gilding, giving the piece a refined softness and depth. The console is topped with a generously deep, bevelled slab of Breccia marble, prized for its warm tonality and distinctive veining, which adds an elegant and luminous counterpoint to the gilded frame.
