About the Item
The 'T30' console by German designer Peter Ghyczy distills 1970s modernism to its purest form. Composed of rare triple-thick plate glass in a soft aquamarine tint, the table appears to hover—weightless and architectural—its top plane suspended between two sheer vertical slabs. At each joint, gilt brass brackets etched with diagonal grooves clasp the glass.
A brass stretcher at the base grounds the composition, a quiet counterweight to the lightness above. Minimalist in geometry but rich in material dialogue, it is both presence and pause—designed not to dominate a room, but to sharpen its edges. Rare, collectible, and unmistakably Ghyczy.
Condition: Great vintage condition. The console is composed of three 1" thick glass panels, one top and two legs, secured by original gilt brass hardware. The glass shows scattered surface scuffs and scratches consistent with age and use, but no cracks or structural damage. The brass fittings and stretcher display a warm, even patina throughout. All elements are original and structurally sound.
