About the Item

An exceptional and uniquely proportioned Italian 18th century Baroque st. Giltwood and Faux marble console. This handsome and rare narrow depth console is raised on mottled Giltwood plinths below most impressive intertwined scrolled movements, with richly etched designs, and displaying lavish foliate patterns. Above is the masterfully executed hand painted faux marble arbalest shaped top with a mottled edge. All original gilt throughout.
