About the Item

This is a beautiful antique giltwood console table with a demi-lune (half-moon) shape and a marble top. It has a strong Neoclassical influence, typical of late 18th to early 19th century European design, this piece was made in Italy. It is made from carved wood with a gilt and painted finish that shows a gracefully aged patina The gilding has a warm, slightly distressed appearance, giving it character and authenticity, the carved geometric motifs and floral medallions on the apron add subtle decoration. The legs are tapered and fluted, while the quadrangular carved blocks at the top of each leg, add a neoclassical detail. The table has a delicate, refined, and historically rich appearance, finished with a decorative Italian marble top. Fantastic early 19th century high quality Italian design and craftsmanship.
