About the Item

This Italian early 20th century cherrywood console table or writing desk is a fine Art Nouveau period piece of furniture. Its beautiful mellow honey colour and stylishly curved pillars supporting the wonderful chamfered edges tabletop will grace your entrance or any other living space. The s-shaped front legs hand carved with scrolled rosettes and acanthus sculpted frieze as finials are joined to the rear pillar legs by a round shaped concave stretcher, carved with stylized foliate motifs. The concave stretcher allows to use this wall table also as a writing desk. Great proportions and convenient size paired with beautiful shape and an exceptional wood color, texture and grain make this table a supremely elegant addition to any interior. This lovely table could be used also as a dining server or drybar. This hall entrance console is as stable and sturdy as the day it was handcrafted and it has the most beautiful color and shape with deep hand carvings details. Measures: H. 78, W. 108, D. 53.
