About the Item
An Elegant and Dramatic Italian Mid-Century Modern hand-hammered iron console or sofa table by Italian sculptor and designer, Giovanni Banci. In addition to his own workshop in Florence / Firenze. Banci also produced works for the highest esteemed retailers, Hermes and Maison Jansen.
The pieces present a daring contrast to traditional modernist concepts. They have a spacious and airy feel utilizing symbolic natural forms as their subject matter. They have been delicately hand hammered, hand gilt and feature a sensuous, undulating, organic form. The base is floral inspired and the pieces are topped with Roman travertine. Please note: 2 Consoles are Available; Priced and Sold as Individual Pieces.
