The semi-elliptical top centred to the rear edge by a sunflower and fan motif with six oval patera framed within bell-flower garlands and anthemia with a rosette and bell-flower border and tulipwood cross bandings. The carved giltwood frieze of rosettes on patera-headed blocks flanking stylised shells and foliate scrolled aprons on slender leaf and guilloche carved fluted tapering legs.
