AXIS CONSOLE
Architecture, ancestry, and modern form
The Axis Console is a study in balance, structure, and proportion—rooted in the language of modern
architecture while quietly referencing the origins of human expression. Two intersecting wood bases
form a sculptural X-like stance, creating a sense of tension and stability beneath a clean, rectilinear
top.
The wood base is inset with carved Mesopotamian cuneiform—one of the earliest known written
languages. These ancient markings are subtly emphasized with a metallic wash, catching light and
shadow to give the piece an almost sculptural, time-worn presence. The effect is restrained yet
evocative: not decorative, but deeply intentional.
The contrast between warm wood, quiet metallic insets, and architectural geometry creates a piece
that feels both grounded and elevated. The Axis Console bridges past and present—modern in
silhouette, ancestral in spirit—designed to live comfortably in contemporary interiors while carrying a
deeper narrative beneath the surface.
