About the Item

A 1960s Danish demilune console table, designed by Johnny Sørensen and Rud Thygesen for Botium. Crafted from warm-toned wood, the table’s half-moon top is supported by three angular legs. With clean lines and a minimalistic silhouette, this piece reflects the understated simplicity of Scandinavian Modern craftsmanship. Sold and priced individually. Collaborating from 1966 to the mid 1990’s, Rud Thygesen and Johnny Sørensen evolved as renowned Danish furniture designers during the 20th Century. They have won many prestigious awards including the Carpenter Guilds furniture competition's first prize and Jubilee prize from the National Bank of Denmark.  Their works are also on exhibition at the Danish Design Museum in Copenhagen, The Design Museum in Oslo, Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and the Museum of Modern Art in New York. Condition: Great vintage condition. One table has minor wear along the legs, while the second has minor discoloration along one leg and a light watermark on the surface. ‘Botium’ maker’s mark along the underside.
