About the Item

Neoclassical desk hand-made in Italy in the late 1700s using walnut and decorated with walnut veneer. The table has very straight and simple lines, with tall tapered legs and a single inset drawer. Despite its understated look, this is an absolutely stunning piece because all edges are decorated with alternating walnut veneer, giving it a subtle but sophisticated decoration. Additionally, two thin lines of veneer are also inlaid on the top and on the drawer front, and give it another touch of depth and decoration. The drawer is inset and has beautiful, large, hand-made dovetails. With a knee clearance 63.5 cm (24.8 in) this table would be perfect as a desk, but can also work well as an accent table, entry table or sofa table, because it is finished on all sides, it can also be free standing.
