Beautiful lacquered desk , made in the Philippines in the 1950s and 1960s by E Murio for the French market in what has become known as the 'Hollywood Regency ' style championed by the likes of Maison Jansen and Maison Charles.
Made for the Parisian market what makes this particular desk more desirable or unusual is the Chinese Orange top giving off a gorgeous reddy brown warm colour .
The brass detail on the handles and the hardwood mahogany draw linings added to the fact the piece is incredibly sound structurally ticks all the boxes of timeless elegance beauty and utility
