The desk features a finely figured burr walnut veneer with delicate floral marquetry inlay, accentuated by ornate gilt-bronze mounts and escutcheons. The shaped top is surmounted by a superstructure fitted with four small drawers and letter racks, framed with pierced brass galleries. The serpentine frieze contains a single long drawer, offering practical storage while preserving graceful proportions. Standing on slender cabriole legs adorned with gilt-bronze chutes and sabots, this desk exudes refinement from every angle.
