A stunning 19th century figured burr walnut Davenport desk. The piano top fall lifts to reveal 2 burr walnut veneered drawers and a pull out and adjustable writing slope which retains the original gold tooled red leather writing surface. This magnificent piece is finished all the way around with spectacular figured burr walnut and fine inlay. One side has four graduated walnut drawers with wooden knob handles, standing on bun feet with the original brass castors. Superb quality and amazing colour and patina. Lovely figured burr walnut!! The dimensions are: Height: 92cm (36.2in) Width: 56cm (22.0in) Depth: 59cm (23.2in) This Victorian period antique burr walnut davenport desk remains structurally solid and sound, with the drawers running well. Overall, a clean example with a lovely interior and working space. In good antique condition throughout with minor signs of age.
