About the Item
Antique cast iron Base Drafting Table. Heavy base with a nice clean top. Originally out of Pratt and Whitney East Hartford Ct. The top is 60" x38" and raises from 35 to 44". The base footprint is 38" wide x 20" deep and has a curved wood footrest. It raises by turning the wheel to the desired height then locking it in position with the lever to the right. The top also tilts and locks in place with the top lever. It shows rust on the base and some wear to the top, but this is a survivor from the floor of Pratt and Whitney that was brought home by an employee when the factory was modernized. A great example of industrial design from another era.
