About the Item
Antique Chippendale style slant front desk with four graduated drawers below a slant door with cross-banding and a solid brass batwing escutcheon plate. The construction of the desk beautifully shown in the hand-cut and exposed dovetail joinery. Two pull outs support the door that reveals a center shell carved drawer above two conforming drawers and flanked by four pigeon holes on each side over small drawers. The whole resting on carved bracket feet.
Dimensions: 44 3/4" W, 22 1/4" D, 43 1/2" H
The writing surface is 25 1/8" x 40"
Condition: Please see detail photos. Various signs of age and use include an old repair to door, few fine stable age cracks, removed lock, light scratches and despite the wear the Desk presents in a fine and authentic Antique manner.
