This is a fine antique console writing desk. An English, mahogany two drawer side table, dating to the Georgian period, circa 1800. Presenting superb craftsmanship, this desk offers elegant proportion and refined decorative appeal. Appealing bow front form, with fascinating campaign handles for ease of placement Select stocks present rich caramel hues and superb grain interest throughout The whole presents a desirable, gently aged patina and in good order Generous writing surface, ideal for correspondence, display or occasional use Twin drawers to the fascia, dressed with brass drop handles and oval backplates Excellent material choice, with drawer fascia finished in striking flame mahogany Drawer fronts host inset, brass lined locks — untested, key absent Raised upon elegant, gently tapering legs, terminating in graceful square feet This attractive antique console writing desk offers both a practical workspace and refined Georgian taste.
