About the Item
A good and early antique Georgian oak lowboy/dressing table, circa 1750.
The George II lowboy having an overhanging top, with a carved kneehole with three drawers above, each having brass bail handles. The lowboy is raised on cabriole legs terminating to pad feet, condition is good and the table has a warm mellow patinated finish
has just received a thorough polish with traditional beeswax in our workshops.
The lowboy/dressing table is the type
caliber of furniture that had influenced early Colonial settler cabinet makers, predating the Federal period and the Revolutionary war.
