Antique Fine Quality circa 1900 Inlaid Mahogany Ladies Writing Table, versatile as a desk, dressing, or side table, boasting a simple yet elegant classical design. This remarkable piece features solid construction with no loose joints, emanating character and charm, making it a rare and appealing find. The smoothly functioning drawer is adorned with brass handles, complemented by a later tooled leather writing skiver with light wear and patina. Crafted with selected mahogany veneers on a mixed wood construction, it presents a captivating aesthetic. Measuring 59cm in width, 43cm in depth, and standing at a height of 71cm (with a knee hole measuring 57.5cm), this desk seamlessly fits into various spaces. In good antique condition, it showcases historical knocks, marks, cracks, repairs, alterations, wear, and imperfections, including some treated historic extinct woodworm holes in the drawer bottom (non-weakening). Identified by stock number 8517.
