About the Item

A wonderful antique Georgian inlaid writing table / desk. It was made in England, it dates from around the 1800-1820 period. It is of superb quality and has a lovely design with dummy drawers on the back, this looks identical front and back and can be used as a free standing item. It stands on beautifully tapered legs, the drawers have high quality brass handles. There is a gorgeous inset leather writing surface, the rosewood has a beautiful colour tone and patina. We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age, with some normal wear and patina remaining beneath the polish here and there.
