About the Item
A superb antique Victorian walnut leather top desk / writing table. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1890-1900 period.
It is of fantastic quality, with solid walnut construction and a lovely cross frame stretchered base. The walnut has a gorgeous colour tone and lovely grain patterns, complimented beautifully by the inset green leather top. The drawers have fine, hand cut dovetailed joints and brass handles, the back is nicely finished so this can be used as a free standing item.
We have had this recently re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age.
