About the Item

We are delighted to offer for sale this lovely circa 1880-1900 Watchmakers desk in the Georgian taste with period brown leather top and sorting drawer. A good looking and well made small desk or writing table, it was sold to me as a watchmakers desk, hence the slotted drawer to the right, it is well made and decorative, you can fit an adult for a compact work station or perhaps as a children’s study table, either way it’s a well made and decorative piece Condition wise, it will have age related patina marks here and there as you would expect, there are some marks to the leather which is fine given the age, it all adds to the charm and charisma. Dimensions Height:- 76.5cm Width:- 92cm Depth:- 48.5cm Under leg height:- 60cm Please note all measurements are taken at the widest point. This item is available for collection from our Pulborough warehouses. Condition Please view the very detailed pictures as they form part of the description pertaining to the condition. Please note vintage period and original items such as leather seating will always have natural patina in the form of creasing and wear, we recommend annual waxing to ensure no moisture is lost, also hand dyed leather is not recommended to sit in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time as it will dry out and fade.
