About the Item

William IV oak and pollard oak writing table with a tooled leather top, 19th century. The top with an inset tooled leather top with pollard oak banding and oak molded edges, 3 oak frieze drawers with cock beaded moldings and wood knobs, resting on turned tapered legs ending in brass casters. The back side of the desk is finished so that it can float in a room. Hand dove tailed drawer construction. Locks indistinctly inscribed.
