About the Item

An important Regency design carved wood pedestal desk in the manner of Charles Heathcote Tatham. The top is symmetrically divided and leathered. The frieze, of Greek key, conceals two large secret drawers, which are key operated. The bases being of two seated griffins, a symbol of courage and watchfulness, on low rectangular plinths. Please note, shipping is included in the total price. We are currently working to a 30-36 week lead time.

The semi-elliptical top centred to the rear edge by a sunflower and fan motif with six oval patera framed within bell-flower garlands and anthemia with a rosette and bell-flower border and tulipwood cross bandings.
