Beautiful Curved Directors desk in walnut with wooden knob details and hand carved drawers, Italy 1940s.
Although the designer and maker are unknown, this details on desk show true craftsmanship. The sleek and minimalist yet beautifully detailed design with a playful curve in the entire desk embodies the 1940s design movement. The sleek design of the V shaped drawers remind of designs by renowned designers Gio Ponti or Silvio Cavatorta.
The striking curved design can be placed freestanding, as the front is as visually pleasing as the back, with incredible minimalist details such as the wooden knobs and hand carved drawers. Besides its nice design, this desk is also highly functional with plenty of storage space in seven drawers in the front of the desk, and six drawers on the back side with also an open shelve where even more storage can be used.
