About the Item

DANISH MODERN TEAK ADJUSTABLE-HEIGHT DESK AND CHAIR Circa 1960s 47 1/8" H x 22 1/2" D x 25 5/8" W [desk]; 15" D x 36 1/2" H x 30 1/4" H to seat x 14" W [chair} A most striking adjustable-height desk or perhaps lectern, it is executed in solid teak and teak veneers with legs drilled for several height options. The desk lid flips up to reveal a storage compartment beneath. The chair is upholstered in a supple charcoal leatherette and matches the profile of the desk with its stark angularity, the back being composed of a simple "T" over squared legs. Unusual and of a very practical size. Denmark circa 1960s. Condition: Very fine vintage condition with only minor blemishes/use-indicators; all surfaces re-oiled and minimally restored to an excellent presentation; sturdy and tight in all joints. ref. 112XHP08A About silla antiques art Established in 2009, we have available in our 9000 square foot brick-and-mortar gallery an ever-changing selection of carefully curated and catalogued furniture, decorative arts, paintings, sculpture and estate jewelry.
