About the Item

Charming 19th century French writing table or desk made in a diminutive scale or ladies bureau plat size. Crafted in the grand Louis XIV taste from walnut having a cartouche shaped top panel with a decorative ogee edge. The case is fronted by a single storage drawer with a brass pull. Supported by tapered, fluted, and turned legs conjoined by a stretcher with gracefully curved ends centered by a distinctive finial. Lovely aged patina showcasing the walnut woodgrains. Perfectly sized to fit just about anywhere from a foyer to bedroom.
