About the Item

Iconic “Diplomat” Dining Table by Finn Juhl for France Søn / CADO, Denmark, 1962 Finn Juhl, a titan of mid-century Danish design alongside Hans Wegner, Arne Jacobsen, and Børge Mogensen, crafted this magnificent dining table as part of his acclaimed “Diplomat” series. Exuding timeless elegance, the table is masterfully constructed from rich, warm rosewood, showcasing both exceptional craftsmanship and a flawlessly smooth finish. Its versatile design makes it a stunning centerpiece for any dining room—or, with its generous proportions, an equally impressive writing desk. This spacious table comfortably accommodates six to eight chairs, and its legs can be effortlessly dismantled for convenient transport. A true testament to Scandinavian modernism, the piece has been expertly refinished with a durable and all natural linseed oil, preserving its original charm while ensuring durability. Authenticity is marked by the iconic “CADO” metal tag and a golden “FF made in Denmark” stamp beneath the tabletop. In excellent condition, this table is a rare find—perfect for elevating a modern home, office, or sophisticated interior with its understated luxury and functional beauty.
