This elegant ladies desk dates from the early Biedermeier period around 1820 and was made in Germany. Crafted primarily from solid cherrywood, the desk reflects the restrained and functional design language characteristic of early 19th century Biedermeier furniture. The warm tone and lively grain of the cherrywood are particularly evident on the top and apron, giving the piece a refined yet understated presence.
