About the Item
A leather top Neoclassical style desk on four turned, tapered and fluted legs with case having central drawer, flanked by a drawer on the right and two on the left. The sides of the desk with sliding returns with brass pull. With 2 keys present. (one key works for lower left drawer, the other key can be used as a drawer pull). The desk and returns covered in black tooled leather.
Dimensions: 45 1/8" W, 24 1/4" D, 29 1/4" H, 23" H leg height under drawer.
Slides - 11 3/4" L
Condition: Please see detail photos. Various signs of age and use include missing locking mechanism on upper left drawer, losses and chipping to wooden trim of desk front and top, losses to right side return There is a raised horizontal line across the desk more than likely caused by a stable age split beneath the black leather. The leather with wear and scratches consistent with use. One locking drawer. Despite the wear the Desk presents in a fine Antique manner.
