About the Item

This French shopkeepers desk, crafted during the reign of Napoleon III period (mid-19th century), is a fine example of the era’s elegant and functional design. Made from ebonized wood, it features a glass paneled top, brass trim and hardware, and numerous drawers and storage spaces.
