Italian top quality manufactured desk or dining table in beautiful golden Burlwood
Most like produced by Saporiti but no maker marks on this table/desk
It has the characteristic angle cut finish to the edge of the table that are typical to Giovanni Offredi designed coffee tables and other furniture he made
Also the high quality finish is like that of Saporiti production that of period
Chromed steel legs that can be taken off for easy transport or installation in a project
Very honest good original vintage condition with light user wear scratchings to the top consistent with age and use

Supremely elegant and super rare coffee table by Milan architect Lorenzo Forges Davanzati, produced by ELAM,Italy in1961. This design was produced in two sizes this is the larger and rarer variant of an already extremely rare design.
The table is made of enameled wood with a decorative stainless steel insert to the pedestal. This table is very seldom seen and was published in Casa Vogue,Domus and the italian design bible "repertorio 1950-80".
The table has some minor losses to the original lacquer which can easily be touched in and refinished to blend in with the original lacquer.
In November 2009 the first major monograph on Forges Davanzati's architectural and design work was published.
