About the Item

Fine quality 19th century Italian writing table of elegant proportions with amazing neoclassical details. A near-square burled walnut top is the perfect work surface and has a beautiful burled wood and brass inlaid gallery around its perimeter. Below is a frieze containing one fitted drawer that runs the depth of the table. Four ebonized columns with brass fittings and rosettes support the table on each side and terminate into an H-stretcher platform base on ebonized feet. This piece has all the charm and patina characteristic of a fine antique and would make a great desk, dressing table, or lamp table. The knee clearance underneath the drawer to the floor is 25". The overall dimensions are 29.5" tall x 21.5" deep x 23.5" wide.
